Hello, All! My sweet prime Prospect Heights garden apartment will be available to rent for a period of one year as of December 1st.

Rent includes heat and wifi, along with private outdoor space facing a peaceful garden that I’m happy to share (and even have you participate in tending and planting and even designing, if that’s your jam!).

Tenant(s) will pay their own electricity.

The apartment, which can be rented furnished or unfurnished (or anything in-between) currently includes a comfy living room with fold-out sofa and television, kitchen with dishwasher, large bedroom facing the garden with three closets, an air conditioner for the summer, and a long custom-made table in the bedroom which makes for an excellent workspace.

There is no washer and dryer in the unit (though a laundromat with wash-and-fold service is right around the corner from the apartment on Underhill Ave).

The apartment is located on the ground floor of the brownstone I've owned and lived in for over thirty years, and has been home to a series of wonderful humans over that time.

It's on (in my opinion!) the best block in Prospect Heights: a short walk to Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Public Library, the Brooklyn Museum, two different subway stations, and right around the corner from Vanderbilt Avenue with its many restaurants and cafes.

About This Lister

I'm 61 years old and have lived in my brownstone since 1994; my now-grown daughters arrived directly to it from the hospital they were born in. :)

I'm a responsive, hands-on landlord and will be living, together with my husband, on the three floors above you. We experience our home as a peaceful oasis and are interested in a future tenant, or tenants, interested in something similar.

Credit and background check, last two years' tax returns, proof of income, last three paystubs, contact info for previous landlord, and two references requested of all applicants.

Security deposit of $3550 and first month's rent requested at signing of lease. Please have a credit score of 750 or over.

Small, well-behaved and well-cared for dogs or cats (just one, please) considered on a case by case basis.
