Private artist studio available for creative/mixed use (546 sq ft.). Located on the Red Hook waterfront, the studio will be available 1/1/26 and is rented with a simple, month to month, licensing agreement.
The unit is inside a 3rd floor woodworking/furniture workshop. The workshop itself is spacious and tidy, easy to come and go through. This room is part of a larger, dust free area of the shop and is well lit with natural light.
$2000/month
546 sq feet, 21’x26’ with a 6’ wide doorway, high ceiling, a large skylight and two interior facing windows. Compressed air line in unit. The current tenant is in the process of moving out, hence the mess in the pictures. The room will be empty and broom clean for the new occupants. Plywood shelving can be removed if desired.
There are rows of 3’x 8’ overhead shelves in the common area outside of the unit that can be rented as storage for an additional $50/month per shelf.
Current tenants include a small custom cabinetry company and a finishing company that operates a fully licensed spray booth. Myself and my business partner lease the space from the building owners and operate a small custom furniture studio. We are in the space daily and are the point of contact for all occupants.
Use of the shared machine room can be negotiated for additional cost provided the tenant has meaningful/professional experience using industrial woodworking machinery. Machines are well maintained, relied upon by professionals on a daily basis and function as intended. Machine maintenance and repairs are handled by the master lease holders.
