I am looking for a subletter for a 1-bedroom apartment in Pilsen, starting from June 15th until sometime in the/at the end of the Autumn term (flexible dates - can be discussed). The space is split across two floors: the lower level is an open living space and bedroom, and the top floor has a bathroom, an office, and a home gym. The apartment is on a corner and gets nice light throughout the day. Entrance is up one flight of stairs, close to the building entrance for convenient access to Pilsen beyond. The space is clean and comes furnished.
The rent is monthly $1,805. Utilities are not included.
Amenities:
- Integrated heating and cooling system
- Home gym
- Shared laundry in the basement
- Dishwasher
- Fast internet
Location:
- 10 min. walk to the pink line
- Decent street parking, if you have a car
- 5 min. walk to the supermarket and pharmacy
- Steps away from Thalia Hall, tons of fantastic restaurants, and some of the best vintage/ thrift in Chicago!
- A short walk to some fantastic coffee shops, like Cafe Jumping Bean and Anticonquista Cafe.
I am an artist and Assistant Professor at the University of Chicago. I have lived in this Pilsen apartment for almost two years and have loved settling into this space and getting to know the neighborhood. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions about the space, location, sublet dates, etc.
Renting requirements:
I would like to find someone responsible, quiet, and clean to enjoy my home and take care of it while I am away. Ideally, you can stay for the entire term of the sublet (I am happy to discuss dates and work out a solution that works for both of us.)
Requirements:
- Signing the sublease document.
- A simple documentation of income, rental history, and a reference.
- Deposit: Half of one month's rent ($900).
- Renter's insurance.
- Checking out the apartment in person so we can meet and go over details.
Cats are allowed. Dogs are not, due to the lease, unfortunately.
