*Open to three month sublet or month-to-month long term*
I am renting a room in Washington Heights for a 3-12 month sublet, but I am flexible for the move-in or move-out or if you want to stay longer - we can discuss. Ideally one person and no pets.
If you are working near the hospitals up here, or enjoy nature, Washington Heights offers an ideal location. Hospitals and schools include Columbia University, NewYork-Presbyterian, NYC Hospital Gotham, Yeshiva University, and Fordham, and NYC Hospital Harlem.
About the Living Space: You will be sharing a well-maintained apartment with a friendly and responsible lawyer who values a respectful living environment. The room has good lighting, a closet, comes with linens and a desk and a light and side table and a smart TV. Located on the fifth floor of an elevator building. Secure (via two doors), and with a in-unit washer and dryer. There's also shared kitchen appliances, like an instantpot and a airfryer. Fast Wifi. I’m committed to maintaining a nice household, ensuring that your time is comfortable and enjoyable. Internet included, just pay for gas/electricity which is about 50-100 a month.
Ideal Roommate: Someone who picks up after themselves, pays their bills on time, and ideally, someone who is not 100% remote in the apartment but interested in exploring the neighborhood or traveling too. Someone enjoys talking and sharing a meal or two. You value direct communication and appreciate the same. Ideally one person. No pets.
Easygoing and Clean: You appreciate a shared space. Minimal mess after cooking, or otherwise making sure the space is free from food or debris.
About the Neighborhood: Washington Heights is a dynamic community known for its rich cultural heritage and picturesque views. With its charming brownstones and tree-lined streets, this area combines the tranquility of suburban life with the energy of urban living. You'll find an array of local eateries, boutique shops, and green spaces like Fort Tryon Park, perfect for unwinding after a busy day.
Why Washington Heights?
Prime Location: Enjoy a quick and easy commute to top hospitals and educational institutions, including Columbia University Medical Center, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, and other prominent facilities. There is a Target across the street and two large supermarkets nearby. Nearby restaurants like Dominican, Jewish, Ethiopian, and Mexican, etc. Some chains like Chipotle, Chase Bank, etc., but also local stuff - so you get it all here. Short walk to some dramatic water views, the cliffs of the palisades, and the Little Red Lighthouse.
Convenient Transportation: Benefit from excellent public transportation options, including the A, C, and 1 subway lines, making your daily travel hassle-free. There’s also an elevator for the 1 train and escalators for the A train. I am in between both. There’s also a CitiBike station nearby and the George Washington Bus Terminal for a quick ride to New Jersey.
