The Flatiron/Chelsea neighborhood has a variety of places to eat including Chipolte, Eataly, Gramercy Tavern, Kyma, Le Pain Quotidien, Maman, Ootoya Chelsea, Portale, Pret, Rosa Mexicana, Tarallucci e Vino, Thai Villa, Sweetgreen, plus the original Shake Shack in Madison Square Park.

We are the owners and also live in the building. The room for rent was recently used by our adult son, who now mostly lives and works outside the city. Occasionally he stays overnight in a small second bedroom, which also serves as a guest room for long-time friends visiting from Europe and other parts of the US. Though infrequent, at these times, use of the kitchen and bathroom are “shared.” Occasionally we use the studio in the street-facing portion of the loft and access the storage closet near the bathroom.
References and a one-month security deposit are required.
Rent includes electric, gas, internet, as well as weekly professional cleaning and change of linen.
Single occupancy. No smoking (tobacco or weed) or vaping, no pets, no parties, no bikes, no e-bikes. No shoes, especially stiletto-heel shoes. No commercial use.
In this condominium building, respect for neighbors and our cleaning person is required. Adherence to coop rules, Sanitation Dept. regulations, etc.
