PLEASE NOTE: PET CARE REQUIRED FOR THIS SUBLET
The apartment is a bright, top-floor walk-up in a historic building with lots of charm — wood floors, curated art, A/C, and a cozy living area with floor seating and a projector for movies. There’s a Japanese-style organic cotton/wool floor bed, a separate small room (great for a guest, office, or reading nook), and a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, including a dishwasher. Family-friendly neighborhood, 5 min walk to the subway, 20 min walk to Prospect Park, and surrounded by great cafes and restaurants.
The space is suitable for 1–3 people, and includes a Guava travel crib, car seat, and high chair if needed.
We are two mid-westerners, a physician and an architect, living in Brooklyn for the next few years for work. We have an infant and two sociable cats. We live in the apartment but will be away visiting family for the month and are hoping someone can befriend our cats and enjoy the apartment's excellent natural light and proximity to Prospect Park. We are the only tenants in the building; you'd have the entire top floor to yourself. The landlord and his family live on-site and are very friendly, though you'd contact us if something needs addressed that isn't an emergency.
We’re looking for a cat-loving, responsible person to stay in our thoughtfully furnished South Slope brownstone apartment while we’re away Sept 15–Oct 10. In exchange for caring for our two sweet, social cats (daily litter scooping and some love/playtime — food is on an automatic feeder), we’re offering the space at a reduced rent.
Rent is $2,500 for the full stay, including utilities. A $500 security deposit will be collected and refunded if the apartment is left in good condition. A $200 cleaning fee will also apply.
Looking for someone who enjoys cats and would value this kind of exchange. Reach out if interested — we’d love to hear a bit about you!
