Welcome to my home at 200 Montague in Brooklyn Heights! This building caught my eye right away — it has that classic Brooklyn Heights feel with its detailed façade and dramatic setbacks, but there's a modern edge to it with the metal and terracotta exterior that looks different depending on the time of day.
The Apartment
Walking in, the vibe is calm and clean — think mid-century modern with an airy, open layout. The oversized floor-to-ceiling windows are honestly my favorite part; the natural light is incredible, and the city views don't hurt either. The space has oak hardwood floors, custom oak cabinetry, stone kitchen countertops, high-end stainless steel appliances, and an in-unit washer/dryer, which is a game-changer in New York.
The Building
The amenities here really make everyday life easier. There's a resident lounge that works great as a second living room — I've used it for everything from catching up on work to hosting small get-togethers. The fitness center has solid cardio and strength equipment, plus a dedicated yoga room if that's your thing. For families, there's a children's playroom that's perfect for playdates. Practical stuff like bike racks, a pet wash, storage units, and stroller parking help keep the apartment clutter-free.
The roof deck is the real standout — landscaped with a lawn, seating areas, two gas grills, a sunning area with outdoor showers, and sweeping views of Manhattan, Brooklyn Heights, and the harbor. Wi-Fi covers all the amenity spaces, so you can work from the lounge or the roof instead of being stuck in your apartment all day.
The location is right in the heart of Brooklyn Heights near Borough Hall, surrounded by the neighborhood's beautiful historic high-rises. I love living here and hope you will too!
