I am looking for a roommate to move in to my Bushwick apartment May 1st. This post is open to everyone, but I am very much hoping for a roommate who has friendly cat! My cat, Mochi, is very sweet and gets lonely without a feline friend. 


Rent is $1335/month plus utilities. For move in, my landlord will ask for first month’s rent and security deposit. 

The apartment is a four minute walk from the Wilson Ave. L and twelve minutes from the Chauncey J. It is is railroad style with french doors between the bedrooms which I have covered completely on my side with fabric and furniture for privacy. The room I am renting out is large and well lit, but access to the kitchen/ living room/ bathroom is through the building’s shared hallway. The kitchen and living room are spacious and totally furnished, though I’m always open to additions/ upgrades to the decor. The bedroom is pictured here, as furnished by my current roommate, but will be totally empty for move-in.

There’s lots to say about this place and I will certainly give the unabridged tour to whoever seems like a good fit. I have been living on this block for several years now and I love it. This apartment is my home and I love it too. I get along with pretty much everybody but it’s very important to me to find a roommate who is a good fit and will be happy here, so let’s talk! I am 30 and a full time art student. I tend to be out most of the day, but sometimes stay in on a weekend and might be around a bit more over the summer. What I am looking for in a roommate is somebody 25-40 (ish) of any gender who is kind and easygoing and doesn’t do a ton of loud stuff/ social activities at home in the evenings. Sound does travel and I like to go to bed earlyish when I can :) sometimes I have a friend over but I am usually out or being pretty quiet. I also try to keep things relatively tidy and smelling good, so I’d like my roommate to be on the same page about that.
