About the Role
We’re hiring a Retail Operations Lead to oversee the daily rhythm of Colbo’s retail space — ensuring that standards, inventory, and customer experience stay consistently excellent.
You’ll act as the connective tissue between floor, backstock, and online — keeping systems tight, inventory moving, and details handled before anyone has to ask. This role is best suited to someone who blends operational sharpness with cultural awareness — a person who moves fast, notices what others miss, and takes initiative to keep the environment running at a high level.
Core Responsibilities
Store Operations
- Own daily opening and closing routines; maintain floor standards, lighting, and atmosphere.
- Oversee resets, restocks, and visual consistency in collaboration with the retail team.
- Maintain operational checklists and ensure completion across all shifts.
Inventory & Fulfillment
- Manage product flow from receiving to floor; ensure accurate tagging and storage.
- Maintain organized backstock and handle weekly inventory counts or audits.
- Oversee e-commerce fulfillment — ensure all orders are packed, shipped, and tracked on time.
Customer Experience
- Support the floor team during peak hours and weekends.
- Ensure customer communications and online inquiries are handled promptly and thoughtfully.
- Uphold a welcoming, informed, and elevated tone across all customer touchpoints.
Reporting & Coordination
- Submit concise daily and weekly operational reports.
- Flag operational gaps or quick wins to leadership and implement small process improvements.
- Coordinate with brand and bar teams to keep the shared space aligned and efficient.

- Organized and proactive — you notice and solve problems before they become them.
- Calm under pressure and able to multitask across inventory, customer flow, and admin.
- Genuinely interested in fashion, music, design, and community culture.
- A strong communicator who thrives in small, collaborative teams.
- Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Founded in 2021, Colbo is a New York–based brand and multidisciplinary retail space located in the Lower East Side. The shop curates international independent labels alongside its own in-house line, and also offers records, home goods, coffee, and a rotating program of events.
