I have secured a lease on a 2-bed/1-bath apartment in prime Fort Greene and am looking for a roommate for a July 1 move in. Rent is $2000 plus utilities (likely $60-80/month for electric, gas, and wifi), which is insanely under-market for the area! I feel like I scored a real gem!

Note: the photos are from the current tenants and the apartment will be unfurnished when we move in. I am planning to bring or buy things and welcome any furniture you may have too!

About the apartment:
-2nd floor apartment in a 5 unit building.
-Gorgeous, large living area with three huge windows.
-Open kitchen with stainless steel appliances, including a gas stove and dishwasher.
-Bedrooms face a quiet, tree-filled courtyard and can accommodate a queen size bed plus additional furniture. Each bedroom has a closet and there are two closets in the hallway.
-No laundry, but there is a laundromat one block/a two minute walk away
-Perfect location. C and G trains are both less than a block away and Atlantic terminal is all of a 7 minute walk. Fort Greene park is also a 7 minute walk away. Too many restaurants and bars to name.

-I’m a 30 year-old woman, who grew up in NYC and works in museum education. I have a hybrid 9-5 schedule, usually one day from home per week.
-I mostly socialize outside of the apartment, but like to host friends for dinner occasionally.
-I have a very sweet mini Australian shepherd who loves pets, fetch, and probably you. No other pets please.

About you:
-Ideally around my age with complementary routines and interests
-Values intentional and respectful communication. Someone who is interested in chatting about the day while cooking dinner but also comfortable reading their book on the couch. Someone who will text before having guests over.
-Happy to share some household supplies (spices, toilet paper, etc.) and responsibilities (vacuuming, taking out the trash, etc.)
-Mindful of shared spaces, whether that’s doing dishes promptly or using headphones late at night.

I am signing a lease directly with the landlord and you will sign a 1-year rental agreement with me. I ask that your income is 40x the rent and you provide a one-month security deposit.
