I’m looking for a roommate to sign onto a lease renewal for a 3rd floor 2 bed/1 bath apt in Bushwick, Brooklyn in April 2026. I moved in last year and love it. My roommate is moving in with her boyfriend, otherwise she would have wanted to stay. The apartment is fully furnished (minus the available room pictured here). Sorry but no pets! Ideally looking for one person, but I’m open to couples under the right circumstances. The room is big enough for two, but the apartment might feel tight with three.
The available room is HUGE. My roommate currently has a bed and living area with a couch set up, and there’s still lots of space. Large closet as well.
The building is managed by a family as opposed to a big property management company which is always a plus. They are incredibly responsive and also proactive with pest management year round. No complaints with them at all. Water and heat is included in rent.
The location is perfect. It’s a 5 minute walk in either direction to the Dekalb L and Knickerbocker M line and a 7 minute walk to Maria Hernandez. Plenty of good food, bars, grocery and laundry options right nearby. As many apartments in NYC, the neighbors can be quite loud at times. They are nice people otherwise. The radiators clank but tend to quiet down after a while. There is no central AC, but window units/fans do the job well enough. Those are really my only downsides.
I am looking for someone who would be a good fit for me and my lifestyle. I live in between New York/Atlanta and travel quite a bit, so I am gone often. I would love to find someone who also travels, so we could both have the apartment to ourselves at times. Not a dealbreaker at all though. I work remote and would prefer someone who works in office or hybrid as it might feel a little cramped with both of us working from home full time.
I am extremely clean and tidy. I need someone who is the same. This is my top priority when finding someone to live with!
I’m a 30 year old queer person originally from Atlanta. Im pretty easy going, but I don’t mesh well with people who are always embroiled in chaos. I am not confrontational at all, but I am also not conflict avoidant. I’m looking for someone who has healthy communication patterns, and I’m hoping the right fit is on here! I actually found this apartment through the listings project!
