Rent: $1,400/month + utilities
Utilities average $125/month (electricity, internet, shared cleaner)
Move-in date: March 1, can be flexible
The Room:
A large living/sleeping space with a walk-in closet and two south-facing windows that overlook open backyards and trees. The room gets beautiful light throughout the day and is very quiet with almost no street noise.
The Apartment:
A classic Park Slope brownstone divided into what feels like four distinct studio-style spaces. You would live with three other housemates, sharing a small kitchen and one full bathroom. One housemate upstairs has their own half bath.
The Building:
A four-story brownstone with hardwood floors, high ceilings, and original details throughout, including moldings, doors, and fixtures. The landlady and handyman live on the ground and first floors and are responsive and present.
Location:
On a beautiful, tree-lined block in prime Park Slope, located on 3rd Street between 7th and 8th avenue. Just two blocks from Prospect Park, and a short walk from the Park Slope Food Co-op, the Brooklyn Public Library and the Grand Army Plaza farmers market. Laundromat, post office, hardware store, and restaurants are all within a two-block radius.
Transportation:
The F and G trains are about a 10-minute walk away on 7th and 8th avenues.
Additional lines (Q, B, 2, 3) are accessible closer to Flatbush Avenue. Two R train stations are also relatively close by on 4th Avenue at 9th Street and Union Street.
B67 and B69 bus stops are on the corner, steps from the apartment. The B63 is two blocks away on 5th Avenue.
The Housemates:
We are quiet, kind, and considerate. This apartment is like our sanctuary — we don’t bring the party home and value a calm, respectful living environment. We value and expect polite and clear communication with one another.
Other important notes:
This is a women-only household.
We’re only looking for one person to join the apartment full-time.
Pets are not allowed.
If this sounds like a good fit, please reach out with a brief introduction. Thanks!
I am one of three roommates in the apartment. We are all young, creative professionals and we value fostering a quiet, relaxed and respectful living environment.
Would-be roommate must be willing to sign on to a one-year lease.
If selected, roommate would be required to share two references for review with the landlady. A security deposit would also be required. We're happy to discuss next steps in depth during the interview process.
