Who We’re Looking For
• We’re hoping to find someone who:
• Is 25+, professional, and established in NYC
• Works primarily from the office
• Is clean, neat, and respectful of shared spaces, furniture, and kitchenware
• Has their own social life and friend group in the city
• Is friendly, considerate, and easy to live with
• Non-smoking, Pet free
• We’re not looking for a party house during the week, but we do enjoy hosting friends on weekends — so ideally someone who’s comfortable with that balance.
The Vibe:
A calm, comfortable home base during the week with a welcoming, social atmosphere on weekends. We’re looking for someone who meshes well, communicates openly, and treats the apartment like a shared home.
If this sounds like a good fit, feel free to message with a little about yourself, what you do for work, and what you’re looking for in a living situation.
About Us:
You’ll be living with Steve and Anna, both 27, who met at Boston College and graduated in 2020. We’re outgoing, friendly, and have well-established social circles in New York from college and high school, so we’re often out trying new restaurants and bars with friends or hosting small gatherings on weekends. Anna works in sales at Chef’s Warehouse on a hybrid schedule (office, client visits, and occasional work-from-home hours), and Steve is a clinical nurse at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, working three to four 12-hour shifts per week. Anna has a boyfriend, John, who visits occasionally, and Steve is single. We’re both morning people and are typically in bed between 9–11 p.m. on weeknights. During the week, the apartment is generally calm and routine-focused, while weekends tend to be more social. We value cleanliness, mutual respect, and clear communication—shared spaces are kept tidy, guests are always welcome with courtesy and advance notice for overnight stays, and the overall expectation is to leave common areas as you found them.
There is a $2,000 security deposit required to be paid to Steve on move in. Stuytown requires all residents to complete a formal background check at the applicants expense.
