Transit: Approximately 20 minutes to the N/W by bus. Q18, Q19, and Q103 stop directly across the street.

Furnished option includes:
Queen bed with Thuma frame, two CB2 nightstands, Article Chair, West Elm armoire, vintage full-length mirror, hamper, Tapo smart plugs, a quiet-close trash can and a rug (Loftie alarm clock, Eufy smart lamp and plant not included). Artwork can stay or be removed. This setup is ideal for someone arriving with minimal belongings or looking for a long-term, settled space.

Apartment culture:
The apartment is calm, clean, and low-key. I’m not a neat freak, but I clean up after myself and usually do dishes nightly. There are no pest issues. When I’m home, I’m very low-key and mostly decompressing, so there’s no expectation of socializing.

Household expectations:

Vegan kitchen (no meat, fish, or poultry)
LGBTQ+ friendly and values-aligned
Single occupant only
No overnight guests (I don’t bring anyone home and ask the same)
No pets due to allergies and plant safety
Tidy, respectful, and considerate

Accessibility:
Elevator building, but the apartment is not wheelchair accessible.

I’m a nb medical resident renting out a room in my apartment located about 7 minutes from the Astoria ferry. The apartment is quiet, well-kept, and full of plants. It is a culturally Jewish home (mezuzot on the doors). I don’t keep strict kosher, but the household is vegan, and I do a thorough cleaning for Passover each year.
