Rent:
• $1,300 per month (wifi, electric, gas, and bi-weekly professional cleaning included)
• Rental term is negotiable (a one-year commitment is preferred); 1-2 months advance notice of departure required

About the room:
• Window overlooking the back garden, making it bright and quiet
• Built-in closet
• Lightly furnished currently with a queen-size bed (a super comfortable mattress), dresser, desk, and chair (If you plan to stay longer term, any of these furnishings can be removed)
• This is a prewar building so all the walls are thick plaster, and quite sound proof
• Your room is closest to the front door (making it easy to come in and out in the early morning or late night)

About the apartment:
• This is a 4th floor walk up (top floor, no elevator)
• Professional cleaner comes bi-weekly (included with rent)
• WiFi, heat, and utilities are all included with the rent
• Shared bathroom
• Kitchen is stocked with pots/pans, plates, utensils, blender, toaster, microwave, air fryer, etc.
• You will have exclusive use of a smaller refrigerator in the kitchen (the larger fridge is also available for any unexpected spillover)
• No dishwasher unfortunately
• Good building super, who actually fixes things when we need repair

About the neighborhood:
• 1 block from glorious Prospect Park
• Fun neighborhood with loads of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, bakeries, grocery stores, shopping, gyms, bookstores, libraries
• Lots of live music nearby (Barbes, Roulette, Bell House, Public Records, ShapeShifter Lab, Brooklyn Bandshell in Summer)
• Near the Park Slope Food Coop, two farmers markets, Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Library, Brooklyn Botanical Garden, etc.

Transportation:
• We are closest to the 7th Avenue stop on the F/G train
• 2/3/Q/B/R trains are also easily accessible

About This Lister

I am posting on behalf of the tenant who is a professional fundraiser (56) and mom to a delightful 10-year-old boy, who is chill and loves to read. They generally do our own thing and keep to themselves, allowing the housemate plenty of space. When they do overlap in the kitchen, they're always happy to share a cup of tea, a bit of news, and maybe some laughs, but only if you want to. They seek to keep things friendly and respectful at home and value open communication so everyone’s needs can be met.

Looking for a housemate who is responsible, respectful, pays rent on time, and will maintain the general cleanliness and peacefulness of the apartment. Open to a cat!
