Room available in a 3br 2.5 bath shared house in Silver Lake. Photo of the room shows current housemates stuff still in there, but room will be empty upon move in. One housemate has the primary bedroom with their own bathroom, so the other full bath and 1/2 bath are shared between myself and whomever moves into the open room. There is a cat already, and we cannot accommodate another pet in the house, unfortunately. We are good about keeping everything clean around the house. Not leaving dirty dishes or personal items in the common spaces for long periods of time. If you gotta eat and run, by all means leave your dirty dish in the sink. As long as you're mindful that everyone needs to use the kitchen at some point in the day and keep it reasonably clean and available for use, then everybody's good. That's the general vibe of the cleanliness of the house. The new tenant will have ample street parking. We live on a dead end street that is fairly quiet and there are always plenty of spots. We are a 5 minute walk to Sunset Blvd or Silver Lake Blvd. We have a washer and dryer for use in the house. One housemate has a 9-5 and is mostly gone during the day on week days. I am freelance so I am either home a lot or gone for weeks at a time. We are in our mid to late 30s, and think someone within that age range with plenty of experience living with roommates is ideal. Preferably someone who pees sitting down, or is immaculate at putting the toilet seat up and then back down, as they will be sharing a bathroom with a woman. Utilities average about $200 per person per month. The rent is very low for what we have, so we try to take care of as much of the house maintenance ourselves as we can. If an issue comes up where we need to contact the landlord we will. One housemate is designated as house manager and will be the one to contact the landlord when needed. That being said we have only needed to do that twice in the year and a half that I've been here. This is not a party house. We do not bring the party back to the house after going out. There isn't really room for more furniture in the common spaces. We both work in media. There is an ensuite on the bottom floor that goes down into the backyard. A couple lives there, and they only come up to the main house on rare occasion. Everyone is very nice, independent, mellow and respectful, and we are looking for someone who can match that energy to keep the house a peaceful and comfortable space. We'll watch movies together in the living room, here and there, stop and have a funny conversation when we see each other in the common space. Ya know, normal people stuff. I am happy to answer any questions. Explaining a house vibe can be hard and I'm not sure how great I'm doing. We have a beautiful view from our balcony. If you're cool, calm, interesting, and like a housemate situation, this could be a great fit for you!

I have a boyfriend that is the same age as me and also works in film. He is over at the house a few times a week, but we will mostly be in my room. We do cook dinner down in the kitchen at times, but very friendly and happy to share the space and have some nice fun chats. I love movies and will watch one on the TV in the living room probably a few times a week. Love to talk about movies and what it's like to be a person and relating to people and yourself, etc., but also sometimes I don't want to talk and will say hello and that's about it. Our other housemate is the same way. I play volleyball with a women's indoor league. I like sitting and staring. Going on walks. Pilates. Eating healthy meals. Other housemate is a male 1st generation Hatian, from Philly. Comedic writer. Very thoughtful in conversation and great to talk to. Obviously also funny. Downstairs couple are musicians originally from Florida. Sound does not travel from down there, so not really a noise concern. They are very good nice people.
