Welcome to this gorgeous apartment - I’ve been here for two years and plan to stay! The available room (1700/mo) is the most private and is tucked away next to the tiled bathroom - there’s a closet in the room and a larger closet in the foyer for your storage. The living room is large, plant-filled and totally communal. The second bedroom (where I live) is off of the living room and shares a wall with the kitchen which has a huge pantry and dishwasher. The landlords live below on the first floor which means the building has FREE laundry in the basement.

Since we’re on the second floor in the back of a carriage house, the apartment is sunny and quiet inside, but we’re right off of 5th ave which has plenty of great bars and restaurants. Open Streets are a block away in the summer and the Sunday farmer’s market is a few blocks south. The area itself is green and gorgeous - we’re just 15 minutes downhill from Prospect Park. The R train is an 8 minute walk from door to door, and the F & G trains are a 15 minute walk.

As for the vibe, I’m looking for someone who is clean and considerate, a strong communicator who would be interested in helping to curate the space! Any gender is welcome, but being politically progressive is a must. I’m friendly and love having people over (given everyone is being considerate), but also value my privacy when I’m feeling it. We’ve had plenty of friends come to stay in the past which is great with a little heads up. In an ideal world, I’m looking for someone who’s open to being friends too! And current roommate is taking one of the couches, so having a little furniture or art would also be huge plus lol

My name’s John and I’m a 27 year old (he/they) post production manager at TIME Studios, as well as a musician. You can catch me posted up watching TV (recently finished Andor, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Severance, Anora), gaming (Switch, Xbox, PS5), or reading (join my book club!) in the living room, and am keen to keep it communal. I also run an autonomous softball league in the park! As for time spent in the space, I’m currently working from home most days (which gets us free wifi through December), but usually go into a co-working space on Tuesday/Thursday. Sometimes I’m at my partner’s for the night or she’ll stay over a few times a week. In general, I’m aiming to chill out in the house and cultivate a warm, open palms vibe for anyone around.
