My partner and I are looking for a woman roommate to share our spacious, light-filled Clinton Hill apartment. We have a primary home upstate, so the space would often be yours. We average about one night per week in the city.

We are on the 3rd floor of a classic brownstone. There is a large main room with a skylight, kitchen, dining, and living area with a washer-dryer unit. There is an office section of this room that could be your dedicated workspace.

The bedroom for rent is on the small side, but comfortably fits a queen bed, dresser, and armoire. It is currently furnished and you are welcome to keep the furniture, or we can move it out. (Photo with white bedspread.)

Our room is large and has a separate door off of the hallway. (Photo with exercise bike.) Each room in the house has an AC window unit. We have a well-trained, sweetheart Australian Shepard dog who sometimes joins us. The bathroom is small but tidy with a tub and shower. There are many happy plants, special antiques, floor to ceiling books, and beautiful artworks.

The apartment is on Lafayette Ave between Grand and Classon, right by the Classon G stop. It's across the street from a great supermarket, and between the delicious cafes Choice, Clementine and Fan Fan Donuts. The neighborhoods of Fort Greene and Bedstuy (to either side of Clinton Hill) also have a wealth of amazing restaurants, bars and cultural hot spots.

I have lived in the building for 14 years! We have a great landlady and lovely neighbors.

About This Lister

I (she/her) am an artist and professor in my late 30s. I taught at Pratt for 8 years and now teach upstate. I am still friends with almost all of my roommates since Freshman year of college, which I think speaks to my nature as a considerate, communicative person.

My partner Vincent (he/him) is a software engineer in his early 40s. He has a background in Philosophy and works remotely for an AI startup. He also teaches a course at Brooklyn College.

We are kind, clean and responsible. I am outgoing and enjoy throwing the occasional dinner party or hosting a guest. Vincent is often focused on teaching when he is in the city, and works from his home office in our bedroom.
