I am looking to sublet an open room in my apartment in Bushwick.
The apartment is split across 3 floors: the first floor is the available room and the common area. The second floor is the 2Br and an outdoor area shared by the building. The third floor is a separate large, private rooftop area.
Both rooftops are great in the warmer months. It's perfect for a beautiful breakfast or watching the skyline at night. On top of the outdoor spaces, there is plenty of natural light throughout.
The apartment itself is large for Brooklyn – plenty of space for it to still feel private.
The location is pretty great imo. It's near a *ton* of coffee shops, pottery studios, pilates classes (I go to Wick), yoga, etc. – you won't get bored. And if you do, you're only a 5-minute walk from both the L (Dekalb) and the M (Knickerbocker), which gives you quick access to the rest of North Brooklyn + lower Manhattan.
The room comes equipped with:
- Private bathroom (not attached to the room)
- Full-sized bed, dresser, and desk
- roomy closet
- dedicated AC/heating
- wifi
A few more misc notes:
- In-unit washer/dryer and dishwasher
- Large kitchen + dining
- 3rd flr walkup
- Close to Maria Hernandez Park
Overall it's a rare gem for North Brooklyn.
I'm a man in my early 30s. I'm a software engineer by trade and I wfh most days – I have a desk in my bedroom and I usually stick up there for 90% working hours, so I shouldn't be in your hair much during the daytime.
In my free time I love reading, cooking, watching movies, running, pilates, pottery, record shopping, and taking some extra curricular classes.
Overall I'm fairly clean/neat – I try to clean up after every meal, but I'm not rigid on this front (sometimes I'll leave a plate from lunch, for instance). I don't frequently have people over, so it's normally very calm here.
Also worth mentioning that I will be in Ireland/Scotland for mid April -> early June, so there is a significant portion where you will have the space to yourself.
