I'm looking for someone to take over my room in a stunning (really!), plant-filled 3 bedroom apartment that I've lived in for the last 3 and a half years. I'm so sad to be leaving but looking to find someone cool that my two roommates can vibe with.
The apartment is on the top two floors of a brownstone, and the bedroom is up on the top floor, along with one bathroom, a little hangout space (that is currently used for storage and a home office), and the second bedroom. The third bedroom is downstairs with its own bathroom, so you'd only be sharing a bathroom with one other person.
The kitchen is my favorite part- an ISLAND! a dishwasher! stainless steel appliances! There is plenty of room for food storage (the three of us are all big cooks and have never had an issue with space). There's also in-unit laundry!
The room itself is 14'.7" x 8'.9" with a window and decently-sized closet. Plenty of room for a bed, dresser, desk, and bookcase. I currently have the room set up a little differently than in the picture (with the bed in the center of the room).
Samie (your upstairs roommate) works in an office but Natalie (your downstairs roommate) works from home. Having two WFH roommates is pretty doable, especially on two different floors. The ideal roommate would be late 20s/early 30s, kind, conscientious, doesn't bring the party home. No cats but dogs are ok!
The lease is ending on May 31st but you can definitely renew the lease and stay if you like living here! Which, you will.
We're a five minute walk from the Clinton-Washington G and an eight minute walk from the Clinton-Washington C. Also close to a few bus lines, Fort Greene Park, plenty of grocery stores, and lots of cute restaurants and cafes.
If you're interested, reach out with a little info about yourself (hobbies, how you spend your days, any other info) and we will be in touch :)
I'm leaving the apartment to move into my own place, but the two other roommates are wonderful! I've lived with Natalie for over 3 years and Samie for a year and a half, and can absolutely vouch for both of them. They are great roommates who keep the apartment clean, communicate well, and are always happy to share a treat (Natalie is an amazing baker). We all do our own thing but get along well!
There will be a security deposit that you'll need to pay before you move in, and the landlord will want your info (income verification, etc).
No cats, but well-trained dogs ok.
