Looking for roommate to move into a 2Br1ba apartment in Crown Heights. This is a first floor rent stabilized apartment in an older building. We are just half a block away from the Nostrand and President 2/3/4/5 lines.

Your room is pretty large, fits a Queen bed and a desk. There is a closet in the room. Your window faces the inner courtyard so it gets some decent sunlight. The living room gets a lot of sunlight facing the street. We have a separate kitchen from the living room. No laundry in building but the closest laundry is half a block away.

Rent for the whole apartment is ~$2140 which we will split in half. We will sign a new lease for a year beginning 1 Sept. Utilities have been around $50-60 per person (wifi, electric, gas) for the past year. Start of the new lease is 1 Sept but there is a possibility you could move in slightly earlier.

Note that the living room will come unfurnished cos my roommate is moving out his furniture. I’m happy to take in your own furnishings for the living room if you are bringing preexisting ones with you. Or I/we could purchase/find pre-owned furniture for our new living room. Happy to discuss . We can configure the space however we like and it can be made very cosy!

Looking for someone chill, relatively clean and neat, drama-free, willing to share stuff, and communicate well, and would stay a year. No smoking. Cats possible.

I’m a visual artist (painter) and I work multiple part time jobs across the city so I do have a busy schedule and you will find me out of the house a lot. At home, you’ll find me mostly keeping to myself and I’m very chill! I don't usually have people over but I'm happy to host the occasional friends get together in the apartment–in fact I would love if we host parties together! I cook a lot for myself (mostly meal prep these days) and I love cooking for my friends too. I also ride my bike a lot (I bike commute everywhere in the city) and in prospect park which is just 5 mins away.
