My partner and I are subletting our spacious 1-bedroom, 1-bath apartment in Bushwick for 2.5 months as we head to the west coast. It’s clean, bright, with high ceilings and an open loft-like feel, located on the second floor of a well-kept condo building. No elevator, sorry.

Our apartment is convenient with everything you need to live and work: a fully stocked kitchen, in-unit washer/dryer, dishwasher, central air, and plenty of natural light throughout the day. We also have fast internet and a desk with a computer monitor if you need to work from home. Bonus: we have moderately fancy speakers. You can listen to records or connect your Spotify to them.

We’re one block from Maria Hernandez Park. On nice days, we love to sit in the circle and people-watch. Around us are some of our favorite spots: Palmetto, Ayat, Artichoke, Pitanga, Sea Wolf, Le Cantine, Maite, and Gordo’s Cantina. There are tons of bars, thrift stores, and nightclubs nearby, plus an amazing roller rink called Xanadu, event spaces, art galleries, a cabaret with aerial acrobatics, local comedy clubs, and lots of dogs.

Bushwick isn’t the brownstone-and-tree-lined-street version of Brooklyn; it’s livelier and grittier. We love our neighborhood and our neighbors. There are about a million ways to have fun here, and once you’ve had your fill, our home is the perfect sanctuary.

We're looking for subletters who are tidy, respectful, will take care of our home, and not throw parties. We live in a very family friendly building :)
