Our team of tutors comprises current PhD students, educators at elite high schools, and graduates of top universities. Our method is highly personal, tailored to each student's learning style and interests. We empower students to tackle challenging material and to develop sustainable and consistent work habits that account for their schedules – to enable proficiency without burnout.

About this Lister

My name is Ashni Davé. I hold a dual degree in Biology and Health Policy from Brandeis University and bring 12 years of dedicated experience in test preparation and math instruction to my practice. My commitment to education stems from understanding how the right educator can transform not just academic performance, but a student’s confidence and relationship with learning. I established Sage Tutoring to provide students with the same caliber of personalized educational support.

I work closely with students to identify and build on their strengths, while providing targeted strategies in areas where they need support. Together, we set long-term goals and create a pathway with short-term milestones so students can see their progress and stay motivated along the way.

I prioritize building genuine connections with each student, fostering an environment that allows them to ask questions freely, engage more deeply with challenging material, and stay accountable to their goals.

Background and Expertise

We have been tutoring students in and around NYC since 2013, and are able to support students anywhere via Zoom. We've worked on Zoom extensively, refining our online instruction to ensure the same quality of teaching whether in-person or virtual.
