I've been helping students transform their grades, improve test scores, and get into their dream college for 11 years!

Back in 2015, as soon as I graduated from the University of Michigan, I moved to NYC with big dreams of pursuing dance (which I still do!!) and I was looking for a side hustle to support my dreams.

My very first interview was with a big tutoring agency that a friend told me about. Hours later, I was hired!

Well my side hustle turned into a passion (unsurprising since I wanted to be a teacher when I was younger!) and 7 years later I left my agency and started tutoring independently.

My favorite part of this job is seeing kids confidence go up. Academic challenges but such a big burden on their shoulders and when they see that that doesn't define them and the steps they took actually changed their result, they can breathe easier and understand they are in the driver's seat of their lives!

Background and Expertise

College Education:

BFA Dance & BS Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, MI

Overall:

11+ years of tutoring over 300 students (mostly 1:1, some group) with a focus on test prep and math.

Agency Experience:

I spent 7 years with Private Prep (NYC based) working across the tri-state area in person and online. I was originally trained in ACT & SAT and expanded into ISEE/SSAT/SHSAT, pioneering a group ISEE program curriculum at middle schools in Brooklyn. Every year, I met Professional Development requirements continuing to learn about pedagogy, tutoring techniques, and high school and college landscape.

Working Directly with Families:

For the last 4 years, I've kept up with changes in the field as I tutor independently. I adapt to changes in standardized tests and learned college advising from another boutique company.
