Address: 4 East 132nd Street (between 5th and Madison)

It is a lot of space for the money.

This is a non-smoking building but there is outdoor garden space where you could smoke outside.

Exposed brick wall in living room, newly refinished hardwood floors, granite countertop, ceramic tile to the ceiling with 2 full baths in the apartment which makes it a good share. The bedrooms are large, big enough to accommodate enough for a queen-sized bed and other furniture besides. Quiet, very clean, well-maintained building with laundry in basement and live-in super. High security lock system - get from the street into your apartment with 1 key. Pictured is a furnished and planted garden for tenant use with outdoor furniture and a lounger - very nice during the summer.

Number 2,3 train on 135th is 5 min away and number 4,5,6 on 125th street is 10 min away walking which makes it very convenient to get quickly to the east or the west side. Supermarkets are nearby, Whole Foods is a few blocks away so you can pick something up on your way back from the subway.

If that sounds like a fit, please email for appointment. The landlord and building super will coordinate showings. Once you have had a chance to see the apartment, the tenants would love to be in contact with you!

About This Lister

Tenant 1:
I'm a female postdoctoral fellow in my mid 30s studying vision and language at Barnard College. I commute to work during the week, and enjoy a quiet and comfortable evening when I get home. I like to spend my free time painting, reading and volunteering. Keeping common spaces clean is a huge priority. I like to maintain a friendly rapport with roommates, but also enjoy my solitude. I'm hoping to share space and time with people who can be responsible for common resources and be respectful of each other's presence. I also greatly value clear and direct communication. We prefer a female co-tenant.

Tenant 2:
I'm a female tenant in my late 20s, with a mature outlook and I desire to live with other like-minded people. I am finishing a program in Acupuncture and I am passionate about creation, arts, and wellness. At home, I spend my time on restoration which could be yoga, cooking, a nice bath, or reading/journaling. I am looking for a living situation where people respect boundaries but also have a chance to get to know one another and be themselves.

Poster:
I'm the building owner posting on behalf of my tenants who want to share an apartment but may not have a roommate. We have found that many tenants don't want to spend money on listings or don't have time to organize the whole thing, so we facilitate. We have advertised on Listings project for about 8 years, with great results. The building super will be showing the space. If you like what you see, we will make an introduction to the tenants and you can take the conversation from there.
