Hello Humans of Listings Project,
I’m seeking a thoughtful, tidy, and grounded person to share my two level apartment in Weeksville, Brooklyn. Ideally, someone mature, creative, collaborative, and interested in living in a space that feels like a sanctuary.
About me:
I’m a queer woman in my mid-30s (Virgo — I love a clean, intentional space). I enjoy cooking, hosting the occasional dinner gathering, playing music, dancing around the house, and relaxing in good energy. I also love home decor and take joy in creating an environment that feels warm, comfortable, and welcoming to myself and others. I commute to an office Monday through Friday, so my weekdays tend to be structured and my evenings are for winding down.
This isn’t a party house, but it’s not a silent retreat either. Think: candles lit, music playing, food on the stove, and space to just be!
I live with two very sweet small dogs and one extremely confident cat. They’re full of personality and bring a lot of joy to the space.
About the space:
The available area is spacious and flexible. It could easily function as your private living room, studio, office, movement space, or all of the above.
There’s a private WC, generous closet space, and plenty of room to make it your own. Shared spaces include the upstairs kitchen, full bathroom, in-building washer/dryer, and a backyard.
The apartment is located at the back of a four unit building, facing the backyard, which adds a sense of privacy and a little less noise. The building sits on a relatively chill block where neighbors chat from their stoops.
Transit and neighborhood highlights:
~One block from the B65, B47, and B15 buses (10 mins to Crown Heights & Bed-Stuy)
~10-minute walk to the Ralph C train
~10-minute walk to Lincoln Terrace Park & public tennis courts
~A few blocks from the Weeksville Heritage Center, which hosts exhibits, green markets, yoga, and summer festivals
~Nearby neighborhood gems like Lake Café (Haitian café) and Barzakh Café
Details:
~Rent: $1750/month
~Utilities: ~$150–300 depending on the season and usage
~Lease: Open to short-term or 1-year
~Move-in: Flexible
~Requirements: First month + deposit; background and credit check required by landlord
You might be a good fit if you value a clean, peaceful home, communicate with care, and are looking for a pet-friendly, queer-positive space where you can stretch out, be creative, and feel at ease.
If this sounds like a potential match, I’d love to hear from you. Tell me a bit about yourself and what kind of living situation you’re looking for.
Let’s connect and see if it’s a fit.
I’m a creatively curious soul with a passion for design, fashion, and making my home a reflection of who I am. I find joy in the details whether that’s curating a playlist, exploring a new recipe, or tweaking the mood lighting in my space. By day, I work full-time in fine jewelry, commuting to the office during the week. When I’m not working, I’m exploring Brooklyn on my bike, definitely outside, blowing bubbles, being silly, soaking up time with friends and family, or hanging with my fur babies who keep the energy lively and full of love. I’m open-minded and always eager to expand my horizons. Life feels best when it’s a balance of thoughtful creativity and warm connection.
