Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to read!
My name is Morgan and I'm looking for a long-term rental or lease takeover (not sublet) in Prospect Heights/surrounding area to be closer to my partner- I currently live in Bushwick and traveling to see her is a trek!
I'm seeking a studio/1 bedroom (around $1800 max) or a 2 bedroom (around $2800 max) apartment for a February 1st move in, but I have some flexibility with move-in date (my current lease ends at the end of January). Looking in Prospect Heights, Park Slope, Clinton Hill, Fort Greene, West Crown Heights or PLG. The dream would be a backyard or private outdoor space for my dog, but I'm very open to seeing what's out there!
I understand that it's difficult to find affordable/rent-stabilized apartments in the area, but I feel hopeful that through the power of community and word of mouth, I'll be able to find something that feels like a great fit.
Thanks again for reading and for your consideration and hope to speak with some of you soon!
I am 30 years old and have lived in the city for over 12 years. I am a transgender male actor and filmmaker and run a community-based film collective in the city. For my day job, I work at an Episcopal church as an events and space use manager, mostly coordinating their weddings and TV shows that film at the church.
I have a small senior dachshund named Ruby, she's very sweet, chill and house trained. I love nature and the outdoors (a big reason why I'm moving closer to the park) and really value having a chill and cozy home to come to after running around the city for work.
I have been at my current apartment for two years and was at my previous apartment for about 5 years- I love to have a friendly rapport with my neighbors and can provide great references.
