Looking for a new roommate for our fabulous Clinton Hill apartment starting June 1st.

The Apartment: Our Clinton Hill apartment is a fully furnished, spacious, renovated brownstone duplex with a private roof deck on a quiet street. We are planning to buy a new couch during Memorial Day sale! The apartment is a 4 bedroom/3 full bath, which is truly a rarity. Three bedrooms, including the one available, and two bathrooms are located on the first floor. The fourth bedroom, third bathroom, and rooftop deck are located on the top floor. The fully furnished and private roof deck is our outdoor living room, it makes the apartment feel huge and is an incredibly special space.

High ceilings, wood floors, accent brick walls, large windows, central air, newer appliances (including a dishwasher!), and an amazing living room jungle are just a few of the features we enjoy. We also have shared laundry and a private storage room in the basement.

The Room: The room has high ceilings and fits a queen bed and desk as well a few smaller pieces of furniture. It has a large (two door) built-in custom closet and a large window. The bathroom is shared with one person and is equipped with a rain shower head, handheld shower head, and has a large deep tub as well as built in and room for additional storage.
Furniture: Some pieces of bedroom furniture may be for sale, TBD. The common space is fully furnished but we are planning to buy a new couch this month and the kitchen is fully equipped but we always find space for anything a new roommate wants to add.

The Price: Rent through August is $ 1544.49. Beginning in Sept, the rent will go up to $1584.00. Utilities generally come to about $125 per month, 40ish more when the AC is on. Additionally, we use a cleaning lady for the common areas monthly ($20). Our new roommate would be joining the lease ending 8/31/27. As evidenced by this rooms availability, people come and go, plans change, but hoping to find someone who wants some stability. Our roommate, who is leaving, has lived here for almost four years.

The Neighborhood: The apartment is conveniently located between the Clinton/Washington C (10 min walk), the Classen G (4 min walk), and Nostrand A. There are plenty of grocery stores, restaurants, and bars nearby. It's a 15 minute neighborhood. Fort Greene and Prospect Parks are a short walk away. We're also dangerously positioned right next to the delicious Speedy Romeo

About This Lister

The Roommates: We are three female professionals and our fourth roommate is someone chill, clean, respectful, and who enjoys communal living. While we could live independently, having roommates is a bonus, a choice, and we enjoy the company it affords. We value community and are often found in each other's company but all have large vibrant lives outside of the house. Recently, we have begun staving off the Sunday scaries together with impromptu activity nights. The favorite activities of late include smoking and watching Fantasia and conducting a table read of a roommate's screenplay. We also occasionally hang on the roof and often enjoy a meal together.

We have hosted community yoga on the roof, book club, and potlucks. We are conscientious about the community building we want and balancing it with maintaining a comfortable shared space.

The "fifth roommate" is Harley, a sweet rescue mix weighing in at 65 lbs. We hope you will enjoy her company. Unfortunately, we only feel comfortable with one pet in the apartment.

The apartment is 420 friendly.
