Hello! I’m Yana—an artist, educator, and cultural worker with deep reverence for people’s homes and the energies within them. I’m currently looking for a long-term, furnished house-sitting opportunity from June to December 2025.
This year, I have several important creative projects I need to complete (gone half of August), and having a peaceful, grounded space to stay in would be deeply helpful in supporting that process. I’m offering care, presence, and reliability in exchange for a place to focus and settle.
What I Offer:
• Daily care and presence in your home
• Pet care and plant watering
• Mail collection and light cleaning
• Reliable communication and updates while you’re away
• Security and peace of mind
I’ve house-sat before and come with three solid references from wonderful people who trusted me with their homes, pets, and plants—and would be happy to share those upon request. I treat every space with care, intention, and respect—as if it were my own.
Ideal Space:
• Furnished and available for a long-term stay
• Clean, cozy, and light-filled with Wi-Fi, laundry, and a functional kitchen
• A space where I can create artwork (believe it or not, I keep my art materials tidy!)
• Bonus points for hardwood floors, indoor plants, lots of light, a lush yard or garden, or proximity to nature trails or parks
• Located in artist-friendly, or nature-adjacent neighborhood in Reno
• Ideally close to groceries, cafés, libraries, museum, or peaceful walking areas
What I’m Like as a Houseguest or Roommate:
• Peaceful, considerate, and tidy
• I love creating beauty, cooking nourishing meals, and keeping shared spaces calm and clean with some music
• Not a party person—more of a tea, music, and focused creativity type
• Open to solo stays or shared housing with like-minded, kind, and communicative people (ideally artists, nature lovers, or educators)
If you’re traveling or have a vacant home—or know someone who does—I’d be honored to connect. Thank you so much for considering and sharing.
P.s. While I’m primarily seeking a house-sitting exchange, I’m also open to very affordable rent if that’s a better fit. I’m staying focused on my work, saving money, and paying back some important things—so every bit of support truly makes a difference.
Warmly,
Yana
Some of my favorite things include slow mornings with tea, soulful music, exercise, libraries, meaningful conversation, and creating beautiful things. I also enjoy cooking, reading, and spending time in nature. I pour into the youth because they are the future.
I learned Spanish while living abroad (I’m a bit rusty now). I practice plant medicine, and art keeps me grounded in my purpose.
If a full house-sitting exchange isn’t possible, I’m also open to a space with low, accessible rent. I’m in a season of deep creative focus and financial responsibility, so having support with housing would go a long way toward helping me stay grounded and finish the work I’m here to do.
