Hey there apartment searchers! We’re looking for a third roommate to join us in an amazing apartment right on the border between Cobble Hill and Boerum Hill. Our roommate is moving out to be closer to her grad program, so this would be a lease takeover from January 1 to August 31, with the possibility to extend if it’s a good fit.

Available Room:
It’s a big (13x11 ft) room that can comfortably fit a full- or queen-sized bed, desk, dresser, and more. There’s a 2x6 ft closet. The room has two tall windows and gets tons of natural light in the mornings and afternoons. Important to note - the windows are street-facing so there’s some occasional noise from the street. However, this hasn’t been an issue for most roommates in the past.

The Apartment:
We’re on a second-floor walk-up in a 2-unit building. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking utensils and appliances. The living room is a great space for reading, working, or watching TV. We pay for a monthly cleaning service ($50 per person) to keep the space tidy. Our landlord is also super responsive if anything needs to be fixed.

Shared Office/Multipurpose Room:
We have an additional small office/multipurpose space. Shane works there in the afternoons and some evenings. Melissa likes to use the room for journaling or yoga. Both use the closet for storage. Our departing roommate will be taking her desk, so there’ll be space for a new roommate to put their desk, exercise bike, or whatever they want. The room also has a futon, which we occasionally use to host guests for 1-2 night visits when it works for everyone.

Rooftop:
The apartment boasts a large private rooftop deck that was just refinished a couple years ago. During the warmer months, it’s an awesome spot to relax, host friends, or even watch a movie (we use a projector!). We’ve got an outdoor couch and there’s plenty of room to add more outdoor furniture or amenities. In the space leading to the deck, there’s a porch/landing that’s perfect for growing plants or having an outdoor breakfast.

Location:
The F/G train (Bergen St stop) is practically outside our front door. Other major subway lines (ACE 2, 3,4,5) are within walking distance. Trader Joe’s is a 7-minute walk and there’s a laundromat a block away. We’re close to tons of great restaurants, cafes, bars, and cute shops. There’s lots to do here and we’re a convenient commute to Manhattan or other parts of Brooklyn.
