Hello!
I am a former Seattle-ite seeking a place to stay for 2 weeks at the end of July into early August. I would like the place to have at least a kitchenette (oven/full stove not required). I do NOT have a car, so no parking needs! I prefer to have the whole place to myself, so a studio or 1-bed would be great, but I'm open to hearing about very private guest suites in shared houses.
I am comfortable dogsitting or plant-caring! (No cats though, I'm allergic).
Ideal locations would be Cap Hill, North Cap Hill, First Hill, Downtown, Columbia City, Fremont, Wallingford, Greenlake, but I'm open to others! I'm also open to hearing about places if you only have 1 week available.
A bit more about me: I'm a 35/yo woman travelling from Michigan for my book tour (I'll have readings at Elliot Bay Books and Hugo House). Having lived in Seattle previously, I'm very familiar with the area. I also have family in town. I'm a very conscientious guest and am happy to abide by any wishes you have re. caretaking, house-sitting, etc.
Please let me know if you have a place (or know someone who might!). I would like to stay under $450 a week. I know that's a bit tight; I'd be happy to talk trade, or other arrangements. Also, please reach out if you have somewhere that sounds like a fit even if you charge above that rate.
Many thanks,
Leigh
I'm a disabled and chronically ill artist based in Michigan. I'm publishing my debut poetry collection (FREELAND, Alice James Books) and attempting a west coast tour! My Seattle leg is the final two weeks of a month-long trip up the California coast. When I'm not writing, I love going on long walks and scrolling mindlessly on social media. I also love doggies : ) I use she/her pronouns.
