Hello! My name is Kay, and I am looking to find a place outside of NYC after living there most of my life. I have a desire to get settled outside of NYC in a quiet and forested area.

I am seeking:

-Cottage, cabin or tiny home on >1 acre of land
-Surrounded by woods with privacy from neighbors
-90 minutes or less to midtown Manhattan (still have to be in office at least 2 days a week)

-Good Wi-Fi, (the other 3 days I will be working remotely from home)

-Shower, kitchen (if either of those is outside that's okay) 
-Rent $1200-1800, willing to negotiate for the right place 
-8-12 month lease

Optional but nice to have:
-Close to water
-Near a town with coworking spaces and queer folks
-Extra space to host friends

I’m originally from Brooklyn and just finished my Clinical Psych PhD. I've been traveling for
the past year to get more nature time, and am now settling down again. My career is overseeing research at a healthtech company and I also am getting back into spiritual events production. I have a deep love of nature, meditation, and cooking for those I care about. I’m a forager, enjoy gardening and growing my own food, and do different crafts such as sewing and leatherwork. I’m aiming for a quieter, more peaceful life, while still being close enough to see friends and loved ones.
