We’re looking for short term renters (June 1-15, August 2-12 and August 25-September 7) for our beloved home- a renovated 2 bedroom barn with over 20ft ceilings on over an acre of land on magical Shelter Island.

After taking the car ferry from Greenport or Sag Harbor where all cares will melt away (honestly) - you'll arrive on Shelter Island... Our modern, homey renovated barn is set among nearly 2 acres with hundred year old oaks, bamboo, vegetable garden and heated pool for Indoor/outdoor living. We are at the end of quiet tree filled neighborhood with a one block walk along a gravel road to the bay and dock to kayak. We are just minutes from Crescent Beach, Sunset Beach, Silver Beach and Wades Beach. Minutes also from the Goat Hill Golf Course , Sylvester Manor, grocery store, ice cream and best restaurants on the island.

Our home is private and quiet. We have a high end kitchen, vaulted ceilings, lots of glass and sunlight . Two bedrooms: Primary bedroom has a Cal King bed and room has space for crib or air mattress on floor). 2nd bedroom has a queen size bed. Primary bedroom is en suite with tub - and upstairs has an open loft that we have used as office space, yoga space, art space (fliexible). Downstairs is an open concept living space, kitchen and dining room, bathroom and a book filled and sunny den with pocket doors (with a queen size sofa that folds out to a queen size bed). The private and lush backyard and indoor living space give you the best of the indoor/outdoor lifestyle -swim in the heated pool, harvest veggies and fruits from the garden, best dinners outside with the grill, enjoy the fire pit for some s'mores and "dive in movies" with our portable outdoor screen, take a swing on the wooden tree swing, explore the waters on the kayaks, or take the bikes for the day at the beach and come back for the outdoor shower!

We love our home and property. It is peaceful, quiet, cozy and mellow. IT IS NOT for someone looking for a Hamptons fancy place or for parties.
