Serene, Sunlit Fort Greene Brownstone Apartment Overlooking Fort Greene Park
Our serene, fully furnished second-floor apartment is nestled within a historic brownstone right across the street from Fort Greene Park.
The apartment feels like a treehouse retreat, with leafy views and the soft sound of birdsong drifting through oversized windows at both the front and rear of the unit. East–west exposures provide beautiful, diffuse natural light. Ten-foot ceilings, a spacious and artfully appointed living room with direct views of the park, and a tranquil rear bedroom create a haven of unexpected calm and quiet.
The apartment underwent a full restoration/renovation personally handled by me, a former carpenter and contractor. The kitchen and spa-like bathroom are new, while the Victorian architectural details have been preserved.
The apartment is located on the second floor and accessed by a main staircase (there is no elevator). A rear fire escape is also present.

This is our long-term, full-time residence, which we’re offering while we travel through New England this summer. We are a performing arts executive and a psychologist, and we share our home with a short-haired Cornish Rex cat—he’ll be accompanying us on our trip.
We’re committed to making your stay as smooth and comfortable as possible. While we may be off-grid occasionally for short backpacking excursions, we will otherwise be easily reachable by phone or email. We’ll also provide the contact information of a close friend and our trusted neighbors, should you need any local assistance or have questions during your stay.
Availability: Mid-July through mid-September.
We are seeking a subletter for as much of this full period as possible, with a strong preference for stays of at least one month.
The monthly rate is $4,500, with all utilities included.
Shorter stays are welcome and will be considered at a pro-rated rate, though priority will be given to guests committing to 30 days or more.
This is a sublet from the leaseholder. A standard sublet agreement and security deposit are required.
