-Pre-War, "Greystone" 8-apartment building on a beautiful, primarily residential avenue
-8th Ave and 9th street, one block from Prospect Park entrance (near bandshell entrance, great for the summer concerts)
-Entrance to the 7th ave F-train station is on the same block
-You'll get a bedroom (approx 10x14) and office (approximately 10x10).
-Large, charming living room has exposed brick, bay windows, hardwood floors
-Living room also contains baby grand piano (a piano-playing roommate is welcome to rehearse and play!)
-Common spaces are furnished/equipped; your spaces are your open canvass
-Eat-in kitchen has a dishwasher and good counter space etc
-2nd floor walk-up
-The building is full of nice people who are friendly and interactive neighbors (many creative professionals, highly educated, considerate, and progressive-and-community-minded)

-We don't need to be best friends but I would love living with someone creative and motivated. I'm politically and socially progressive and will get along best with someone who describes themselves similarly.

-*You would have the place to yourself most of the time* (but our rooms are separated by a very long hallway.)

About This Lister

Professionally:
I'm a Creative Director (Copywriter, brand storytelling, video), having worked for several top agencies on major brands, and spent 8 years running Creative at an environmental non-profit.
Personally:
I've completed the NYC Marathon 7 times, to make it 9 marathons total plus umpteen half-marathons and other races (Fellow runners: Prospect Park is just a block from the apartment!) I'm an amateur singer--often seen in the Jam scene around Asbury Park, New Jersey, where I have a house I spend at least 50% of my time. (I play that grand piano less often than I'd like...) I'm active in the local Burning Man community, and have been to the Burning Man event 17 times (mostly in a row); I'm currently an associate fellow at Yale University, where I also volunteer with numerous alumni groups, and I'm active in a progressive women's networking group dedicated to entrepreneurial success and progressive social advancement.
Other basics:
I'm a single straight cis-female she/her, and have an adorable little cat who is super-friendly. Pescetarian-leaning-vegetarian, but am not opposed to meat-eaters. Non-cigarette smoker (and it's a non-smoking building); I'm not into 420 myself but am cool with responsible use as long as not in the apartment. I've always been more of a reader than TV-watcher, so take note, the apartment doesn't have a TV!
My decor is eclectic, but keep all common areas neat and clean--and am adamant about a neat and clean kitchen and fridge!

Lister's Relationship to the Space
