Seeking someone to share my studio space inside a 24 hour access artisan workshop. Ideally a painter/artist, jewelry maker, mixed media hand-tool sculptor etc- someone who works smaller and can manage working with primarily a desk, a wall of French cleats, an easel, or a workbench. The larger studio has a slop sink, bathroom, shared fridge.. basic amenities.
I’m open to different arrangements, a 50/50 divide of the space down the middle (clearing my stuff from the right side), or sharing the whole space if you would prefer access to the full space while working.
I’ll be gone for most of the Summer, and normally am only in once/week, so you’ll mostly have it to yourself!
The space is in a larger room upstairs which has been divided into 4 workstations. (I’ve found that the other 3 people are typically there once/week or less so you’ll often have the room to yourself). See photo- The full workstation for sublet/shared use is ~11’x8’ + a separate shared-use table which you can use in the room. Not huge but most of the time feels sufficient.
I’m a painter & woodworker, in my extended postpartum era.. would love to find a good studio mate!
If interested please let me know a bit about yourself and your practice (what all you’d need space-wise/how you’d envision sharing the space ideally), and what your schedule looks like- we can setup a time to show you around. Also if you have any q’s be sure to incl. your phone #.
Multidisciplinary artisan (she/her)- mainly working in wood and plaster. Considerate. Positive. Relaxed. Been in/among the Red Hook fabrication/creative community for a few years. Love this neighborhood/these folks.
Current tennant
3 month minimum sublet lease, with 1/2 months rent as deposit (which after 3 months can just be applied towards rent)
Rent, ideally set to autopay, to be sent on the 15th of each month for the next month (that’s when I pay)- via Zelle, cash app, Venmo whatever..
