We're renting out our two-bedroom, two-bath apartment, since we're heading abroad for the month of February.
The apartment sits just one block uphill from the heart of Silver Lake. It's rare to find a spot with high ceilings, outdoor space, privacy, and walkability to the neighborhood’s best spots - so we're excited to be renting out the space while we're away to make sure it's in good hands!
A bit more on the apartment...it features a large, flexible living room with skylights and high ceilings, making it bright and comfortable throughout the day. It’s a great space for relaxing or working from home - the high ceilings are awesome. The full kitchen connects easily to the living space and is well equipped for any length stay.
Both bedrooms open directly onto a large private deck via sliding glass doors, creating a strong indoor–outdoor connection. Our deck is furnished for lounging and dining and gets beautiful afternoon light and sunset glow, filtered through mature bamboo and trees for a sense of privacy.
The primary bathroom is a standout (our favorite!). It's oversized and spa-like—with a sculptural concrete soaking tub, walk-in shower, and custom finishes. The second bathroom includes a full bathtub with shower.
The kitchen includes an oven + gas stovetop, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, ice maker, and all essentials. We have strong Wi-Fi, a TV, and a height-adjustable standing desk for comfortable remote work in the second bedroom.
As for location...
Located near Sunset Boulevard and Maltman, the apartment is extremely walkable to Silver Lake’s best cafés, restaurants, and shops - Erewhon, Seco, Santo, Intelligentsia, Pine & Crane, El Condor, Millie’s, Buck Mason, Night + Market Song, Le Labo, and more all within a 10 minute walk.
As with any home this close to the action, there is some ambient street and traffic noise from Sunset Boulevard. Most guests find this to be a normal part of staying in a lively, central neighborhood, but it’s worth noting for those who prefer absolute quiet. The windows do the trick for us!
