The room is located in the middle of the apartment so it is protected from street noise but does share a door with the kitchen/dining area. The room has high ceilings, crown molding, wainscoting and original hardwood floors, along with a window that looks onto an internal airshaft. No closet, but there is space for a standing rack or chest of drawers. The apartment is a walkup located on the second floor (one flight of stairs) and is near an incredible amount of transit in and around times square.

The room is located in a minimalist, artistic, shoes off railroad style home with two roommates both in their late 30's, both artists and cultural workers. We are looking for someone who is considerate, quiet and respectful. The apartment has a single shared bathroom and a kitchen/dining area so we negotiate via group text when hosting dinners or doing long cooking projects. Because the common spaces are small we are ideally looking for someone without frequent guests. A security deposit of one months rent will be requested, all bills are included in the rent.

We think this home is special, and the price and peace are well below market.

About This Lister

We are two artists, both in our late thirties who enjoy time out and about as well at home cooking or reading in our rooms. We cultivate a quiet house most of the time, and when listening to music or any audio we are mindful of the time of day. We like hosting the occasional dinner party, but we always communicate with each other when scheduling. One of us is sober, and neither of us are smokers. We don't have any pets, and can't accept any at this time.
