We are looking for a two or three bedroom apartment in Crown Heights (near or north of Brower Park), Prospect Heights, Prospect Lefferts Garden, or Windsor Terrace. We have a pre-school aged kid and two cats, and we're looking for a place where we could settle long term, for up to 4k a month (though ideally we'd love to stay closer to 3k).

We'd love to find something pre-war, big (at least 900 square feet), and ideally rent stabilized (or at least covered under good cause). We are prioritizing space above amenities like a dishwasher or washer dryer (though of course would not turn either down) and would be happy to find a minimally renovated, 'no frills' kind of apartment in a quiet, well-maintained building.

About This Lister

My partner and I have lived in the city for about eighteen years. We're both former English majors who moved into psych and advocacy fields; he works as a social worker at a public defenders' office, and I teach psychology to undergraduate CUNY students.

Our daughter is 3.5 years old and would gladly, and often does, spend all day riding her bike around Prospect Park. She's lived in Prospect Heights/north Crown Heights her entire life thus far, so we are hoping to stay fairly close by to remain connected to the community that she (and we) have built in the neighborhood.

We are quiet and respectful tenants, and we value building and being in community with our neighbors. We are hoping to find a place where we can settle for a number of years. We have a flexible move date and could move in June, July, August, or even September.
