Seeking a sitter for a house and two friendly cats in a lovely, 900 square foot classic rowhome. The first floor is an open living room and kitchen, with a dedicated laundry room behind the kitchen and a small back patio. The second floor has one large bedroom with a comfortable queen-size bed and one smaller room that serves as an office, plus a large bathroom with a standalone soaking tub. The office in particular gets great light during the day. The house has a washer and dryer, central AC, a dishwasher, Wifi, a smart TV, and a lot of books.
My space would be a great fit for a writer, researcher, or remote worker looking to spend some time in beautiful South Philly. Outstanding eating in this neighborhood: incredible Indonesian, Mexican, Italian, Vietnamese, Thai, and more within 10-20 minutes walking. The nearby Passyunk Avenue strip has tons of bars, restaurants, and shopping. I'm kind of a Philly evangelist, and will be happy to give anyone who stays a list of recs for their specific interests!
There's a good bus line just a block away, and the subway's about an 8-minute walk.
Accessibility-wise, there are several steps up from the sidewalk to the front door, and then a flight of stairs inside the house between the first and second floors.
I'm looking for someone to hang out with my cats, water the plants, and hopefully enjoy the space while I am traveling. The cats have no special medical needs, and they get fed twice a day. The plants will probably only need to be watered once during the stay, and require no special care.
I'm Mia (she/her), a poet and the director of a small arts non-profit here in Philly. I've been living in this house for three years and really love it. Like most Philadelphians, I'm a rabid sports fan, and I've been adopted as the official poet of a cult-ish podcast about the 76ers. One day, I'll finally escape the art world.
