We’re looking for a short-term subletter for our third floor, 3BR Crown Heights apartment.
The room is approximately 176 square feet, and can comfortably fit a full bed, a desk, and a night table with floor space to spare, plus a long closet with mirrors and two windows. The roommate who's moving out is able to leave a desk, as well as a bedframe (and we're working on sourcing a mattress).
The rest of the apartment features a living room (with TV and virtual doorman), a dining area, a kitchen, and a bathroom with a full-sized tub. Utilities are electric & wifi, the total of which ranges from about $50 to $100/month.
The amenities™:
- The B49 is seconds away
- 4 minute walk to the President Street 2/5 Station and six minutes to the Nostrand 3
- Major Owens Community Center and our laundromat of choice are within a five-minute radius
- Franklin Avenue and Prospect Park are both about 15 minutes away, walking.
You’d be sharing the apartment with two female roommates in their late 20’s. We’re looking for someone who is friendly, fun-loving, communicative, tidy, interested in participating in shared house systems (ex. a chore chart, monthly house meetings), accepting of neurodivergence, and doesn’t smoke.
AL: (she/they) I am a 28 year old, who models, works events and holds a full time marketing job that is hybrid but mostly WFH. I take regular dance classes through the (Alvin) Ailey Extension program as well as play basketball in a queer basketball league. I love to cook, and am enthusiastic about plants, art, and any chance to move my body and/or be outside.
EE (she/her): I’m a 27-year-old, Nigerian-American writer, performer, and researcher. I tend to be a bit of a homebody, and I oscillate between working in- and out of the house (some weeks, I’m totally WFH, and other weeks, I’m totally in the “office”). I especially enjoy playing tennis, gisting about most sports, and going out to academic-adjacent talks. I’m also currently trying to recultivate my childhood love of reading.
We’re looking for someone who’d be willing to sign a subletting agreement. $600 is due upon execution of the agreement (towards paying the rent), and the remaining $484 would be due upon move-in. No security deposit.
We will be conducting tours (in-person and/or video) over the next few days.
