Fully furnished spacious room available in the Upper West Side until early September, while I am away on vacation. Utilities and WiFi are included.
The apartment is shared with my roommate, who lives on the first floor. He is in his 30s, very friendly, and easygoing. His boyfriend is also around sometimes. They have a small dog and a cat. The pets do not come down to the lower level, but you can spend time with them upstairs if you would like.
The room is located on the building’s lower level, below the main entrance floor. It has windows facing the building’s outdoor area. Most of the room photos were taken at night, and I included one daytime photo of the desk and staircase area with natural light. Among the photos, there is a room layout image that shows how the space is organized. All photos after that image show the shared first floor spaces. The room can be accessed either through the apartment’s main entrance, using a spiral staircase, or through its own private entrance, which can be reached by elevator or stairs.
The room is spacious and fully furnished, with a queen bed, a work area, its own air conditioner, a personal refrigerator, a living area with a three seater sofa, a closet, and a small but fully functional private half bath. Most personal belongings will be cleared out so the space is ready for someone to move in comfortably.
The private entrance also leads directly to the building’s laundry area, where paid washers and dryers are available for use.
The shared spaces are the fully equipped kitchen and the full bathroom with shower, both located on the first floor. There is also a shared refrigerator in the kitchen that you are welcome to use.
The apartment is generally quiet and well insulated, with a clean and respectful living environment. Shared spaces are expected to be kept clean, and anything used in the kitchen or common areas should be cleaned right after use. Smoking is not allowed inside the apartment and, unfortunately, no additional pets are allowed.
The building is two blocks from the 1/2/3 trains, with express service on the 2/3, just two stops from Times Square. It is also one block from Riverside Park and three blocks from Central Park, surrounded by the shops, restaurants, and nightlife of the Upper West Side.
For a clearer view of the space, there is a short video below.
Hi, my name is Nicolas. I’m a graduate student and Spanish professor at NYU, and I’ve been living in New York for the past few years. I’m clean, respectful, and used to sharing spaces with other people. I usually keep a quiet routine between work, studying, writing, and going to the gym. I’m looking for someone responsible and considerate to stay in my room while I’m away, ideally someone who will take good care of the space (my plants!) and be comfortable in a calm, clean apartment.
Rent can be monthly or for a shorter stay at a proportional rate, with a 3 week minimum. Priority will be given to people looking to rent for a longer period.
Please send me an email telling me a bit about yourself, what you do, the period you are looking for, and a link to one of your social media profiles.
