Looking for a roommate for my 2 bed/1 bath apartment in WIlliamsburg off the Graham L starting September 1.
Your room is the larger of the two, with two windows and an extra storage space above the closet.
It’s a spacious and sunny apartment in a great location, with a large deck where I grow flowers and herbs :) The sliding door means the common space wall is almost all windows.
- Dishwasher
- Washer/dryer
- Mini split A/C
- South facing windows in the bedrooms
- Very high ceilings
- Large deck (one step to get out to deck)
- 2nd floor walk up (apartment is on the “third” floor. There’s two steps into the building and then two flights of stairs up)
- Spacious bathroom w/good tub (important to me as I take baths)
- Short walk to Cooper Park. Slightly longer short walk to McCarren and McGorlick Parks (I go to the farmers market at McGorlick pretty often)
One small-ish pet is tentatively okay on the lease. Caveat is I’m technically allergic to cats/dogs (though I do love them and many are fine), so would have to meet your pet first to make sure I don’t implode. Dog in photos is not mine, I apparently only take photos inside the apartment when pets visit.
I’m a queer 29 yo (they/them), work in catastrophe modeling, dream of someday living in a cob house. I love to cook and bake, walk around with a coffee, and am perpetually discovering a new hobby I ~ wish ~ to pick up. Finding myself being drawn to go to more queer line dancing.
Ideally looking for a woman and/or queer roommate who is clean, okay with (occasionally) having friends over, and wants to join into my lil corner of home. I love both a good roomie bonding activity and just coexisting/parallel play. I live with a chronic illness and chronic pain, so that often determines my energy levels (still figuring out my exhilarating life with it, but if you need a foam roller or massage gun I have options).
I can be a night owl, so ideally looking for someone who jives with that and/or is not a light sleeper.
I am medium-covid conscious. I mask on public transit and essential places (grocery stores, etc). Depending on covid levels, season, and my health I increase masking or decrease indoor dining. I have a very ill sibling, so it is important to me that we are on the same page about health communication. If I am visiting them soon, I ask that we have super transparent covid risk communication. Very happy to chat more about what this means to each of us :)
- Proof of income/employment
- Security deposit
- References (landlord or roommate preferred)
- Credit report
Our lease stipulates we can have one pet. I am allergic to some pets, so would need to meet them first to feel out the situation. I do love animals :)
