Lease / Sublease Situation
This room is available as a long-term sublet, with a strong possibility of taking over the lease. I’m relocating to Europe and subletting my room for the remainder of my lease. If it’s a good fit and I decide not to return, there is the option to transition into a long-term lease takeover.

The sublease term is a bit flexible, with a minimum stay of 4 months. (Technically the sublet could also start after April 22nd – so there is a bit of flexibility both ways.)

About the Room
The room comes furnished with two! built-in closets, desk, shelving, and a queen-sized bed. It has access to a private bathroom with a bathtub, as well as a fire escape.

If this turns into a long-term arrangement, the furniture can be taken over for a reasonable price, or I can clear the room if preferred.

It’s located away from the main shared areas, making it very quiet — it feels almost like a private studio within the apartment.

About the Apartment
The apartment is spacious, with large shared areas including a bright living room and a generous kitchen. There’s a dishwasher in-unit and a washer/dryer in the basement.

The building has an elevator and is wheelchair accessible via a ramp.

Location
Located on a quiet, tree-lined block (recently voted one of the most beautiful in Brooklyn), with cafés and restaurants nearby.

1.5 blocks from the G and C trains, and about a 10-minute walk to Barclays Center.

About This Lister

You’d be sharing the apartment with three lovely roommates, all in their mid-30s: Amanda (Recruiting), Kanya (manages an interior design firm), and Ciara (investigative journalist).

There’s a mix of at-home and in-office work. Overall, the vibe is easygoing—we keep the space clean, and treat the apartment as a bit of a sanctuary from the chaos of the city.

We have a shared understanding of how chores are handled, so things stay comfortable without feeling rigid. We communicated openly and respectfully if issues come up and make sure everyone feels heard and respected.

We all became friends after moving in together. Sometimes that means hanging out—watching K-dramas or sharing food—other times it means respecting a closed door and giving each other space.
