Hi!

We are looking for a subletter for a furnished and spacious true 1-bedroom in Kensington, Brooklyn. The apartment is located in an residential building with a beautiful marble lobby. It is right around the corner from the Church Ave F/G trains, making the commute to Manhattan and the rest of Brooklyn incredibly easy.

The sublet is available from March 1st until the end of May. Unfortunately, we cannot accept rentals for only one month, we are looking for someone to stay for the full duration. However, we do have flexibility with the start date.

The sun-drenched living room is tastefully decorated with a decorative fireplace and a piano that you are welcome to use. It’s the perfect place to unwind. There is a mounted TV with streaming subscriptions included (Netflix, AppleTV, etc.) and a large, comfortable sofa that can double as a guest bed. There is also a desk, making the space perfect for those working from home.

The kitchen is separate, spacious, and also gets great sunlight. It is fully stocked with everything you need such as pots, pans, baking utensils, and cutlery. Best of all: there is a dishwasher. There is also a dining table, making it a lovely setup for couples or anyone who enjoys cooking.

The bedroom is huge (as big as the living room!) and features a queen-sized bed for a great night's sleep. It has A/C and plenty of storage, including empty closets and a dresser ready for your use. The bathroom is cozy with excellent water pressure.

Foodtown Supermarket is also only one block away, along with a great variety of restaurants, pharmacies, and banks. Prospect Park is just a short trip away! There is laundry in the building, and the neighbors are wonderful.

Please note that utilities (gas/electric) are not included in the rent, but they so far have averaged for us for around $70-$80 per month.

Ideally, we are looking for a subletter who will keep the space clean and treat it as their own! Since this is a quiet residential building, we ask for someone who respects the neighbors (no loud noise during night hours). We have loved living here for a year but are relocating due to family matters.

We can offer in-person viewings as well as virtual walkthroughs!

About This Lister

I am the current subletter (an NYU student). I have absolutely loved my time here living with my sister but we are relocating due to family matters. I've especially enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, the closeness of Prospect Park, and the incredible authentic South Asian food right around the corner. I am helping the leaseholders find a new tenant, they are a lovely couple who have been incredibly welcoming and accommodating throughout my stay!

Rental requirements

We require a signed sublease agreement and a security deposit. We will require a valid ID; references are welcomed but not strictly necessary. You will sign the sublet agreement directly with the leaseholders. I am happy to introduce you to them virtually via FaceTime or Zoom to ensure it’s a great fit for everyone!

Pets Policy
