With nearly 1000sq, open kitchen, wall to wall north facing windows, the loft is a perfect place to land after a busy day enjoying in the city. Plenty of light streaming in for the plants but the Queen bed is surrounded with curtains to embrace a cocoon feeling.
A separate standing shower and clawfoot bathtub make the bathroom feel extra special.
The couch near the kitchen to sit and lounge while enjoying a book or the large dining table to enjoy your morning coffee. Japanese style futon for watching TV as the open floor plan lends itself for a yoga flow.
The building is an old bread factory turned loft space so it comes with some quirks, like limited outlets (plenty of extension cords available).
With the loft on the 2nd floor walk up, there is a view of the city through the trees that line the street below. A 12 min walk to the train for a quick ride into the city (25 min to Chinatown/soho on the F. Or take the G to Williamsburg/Greenpoint), or 18 min walk to the main street, Van Brunt. Where you have access to the artsy quiet, yet lively Red Hook neighborhood or the slightly busier neighborhood of Carroll Garden, both rich with history, bakeries and restaurants its situated perfectly between both areas.
Due to stairs this is not wheelchair friendly. All Utilities included. Full kitchen access, my ask is that you replace anything that you finished and please do not use the ceramics in the open cabinet (other dishes ok!). No dishwasher. Washer/Dryer in the building. Stay will require watering of plants. Due to location the apt is quiet within the building, however you will hear street traffic. All my neighbors are great friends.
*Likely variations to the current layout of the apt vs. some photos. I often change out the flow of the apt, move plants & swap out some furniture.
Hiya! I'm Brandi, they/she, I've been in this space for over 10 years & its my favorite place to be when I'm not traveling! Originally from southern California, I've been in NYC for over 15 years. I work in the produce industry full time but i also teach yoga in various studios in Brooklyn. I love teaching, it allows me to stay grounded, engaged and connected. I love cooking, trying new cookbooks or recipes, sharing food with friends & trying new restaurants around the city. I care deeply about my space & my plants, the energy of my home is important to me, i would love to share it with someone who also wants to feel at home while away. Previous sublets renters have expressed that staying at my place felt like staying at your friends while they were away & that is what I hope it feels like for you too!
