Looking for a quiet, inspiring place to work remotely, finish a project, or simply reset? I’m opening my home on the island of Corfu for winter sublets from November through the end of February (flexible stays welcome).

Corfu in winter has a gentle, restorative beauty. The crowds fade, the light softens, and the island slows to its true rhythm. Olive groves shimmer green, mornings are misty and peaceful, beaches are empty, and the sea remains bright and swimmable. Villages feel intimate, life is local, and the atmosphere is calm and grounding.

My home is in the hills near the traditional village of Kynopiastes, just 10 minutes from the airport and Corfu Town. I’m renting two large, sunny bedrooms (single occupancy), each with a desk and underfloor heating. The two rooms share a private hallway and bathroom. Rent is 675 Euros per room.

The house itself is spacious and soulful: 20-foot beamed ceilings, arches built from old Corfu Town brick, a large wood-burning fireplace, five French doors opening to a veranda and sun-drenched grounds. There is a remodeled kitchen, a generous dining room, a vegetable garden, citrus trees, an art studio, and a large pool deck overlooking the surrounding hills and villages. The property is private, gated, and surrounded by olive trees and birdsong, yet close to cafés, bakeries, butchers, markets, and a direct bus into town.

The nearest small beach is 10 minutes by car; larger sandy beaches and rugged coves with aquamarine water are 20–40 minutes away and beautiful even in winter. The village square of Kynopiastes is a 5-minute walk for a coffee or a quiet drink.

Winters here are a mix of shining blue days and soft rainy ones. Evenings are cozy with the fire going and warmth underfoot.

The home is shared with three gentle dogs (a Greek hare hound, a miniature dachshund, and a poodle). This space is best for someone who appreciates calm, nature, animals, cleanliness, and an atmosphere of quiet companionship. Shared meals or independent living—both are comfortable here.
