Rockella Space was conceived in 2017 out of a personal need for an affordable studio space and a grand dream of building out the perfect, light-filled studio complex. Today, Rockella Space supports a dynamic network of artist studios and creative communities across New York City, with buildings in Brooklyn, Queens, and now Manhattan. Each location offers affordable, thoughtfully designed workspaces for artists of all disciplines and creative industries, with private studios ranging from 100-500 sqft, all with 24/7 access. With a focus on accessibility, community, and professional growth, Rockella not only provides space to create but also cultivates opportunities such as our annual open studios event, helping artists build sustainable, connected practices in the city they call home.

Built in 1930 and with a long history of housing creative industries such as fabric producers for major department stores like Macy’s, One Eyed Studios sits on the culturally artistic border of Bushwick and Ridgewood. Serving a diverse community of traditional crafts and contemporary makers, our Members range in artistic disciplines from World Class Tattoo Artists to Contemporary Visual Artists.
