The Vassar College Studio Art Program seeks a Studio Art Technician to support the daily operations of a dynamic undergraduate art program, with a focus on sculpture and fabrication and extending across artistic disciplines. This role combines technical expertise, student-facing support, and a strong commitment to safe studio practices. Responsibilities include oversight of shop spaces, equipment maintenance, and assistance with student artwork fabrication, installations, and exhibitions. The position works collaboratively across disciplines to sustain a safe, organized, and vibrant studio environment.
This position requires living locally to Poughkeepsie, NY, and is a full-time, year-round union position (CWA Local 1120) with a strong benefits package and clear pathways to salary advancement.
