Shared Studio Space Available – Brooklyn. The studio is 1000 square feet in a 2000 square foot space.
I’m looking for the right person to share my studio in a unique, well-equipped space in Brooklyn.
The studio is located on the second floor at the rear of a two-story building, above a boiler repair shop (the owners of the building). The available space includes:
One large room with 10’ ceilings (approx. 500 sq ft) – no windows but it may be possible to get a skylight, ideal as an office or creative workspace.
One windowed room with drop ceilings (approx. 300 sq ft) – could work well as a small studio or editing space.
Shared access to my side of the studio, which includes a tool room, workbench area, slop sink, a makeshift kitchen, and some storage.
The studio is climate-controlled (good heat & AC) and includes discreet roof access with an amazing view of the bridge and open sky. There's also a somewhat functional freight elevator, but primary access is a single straight flight of stairs — no turns.
This is a versatile space suitable for many uses (though likely not ideal for sculptors due to dust and material concerns). I'm hoping to find someone who appreciates a collaborative atmosphere. I have a wide range of tools on site — including a small CNC, spray booths, and power tools — so if we click, you might not need to bring much of your own equipment.
In total, between the private rooms, shared foyer, and communal work area, it's about 1,000 sq ft. I’m pricing it as reasonably as possible, given the NYC market.
Transportation:
There’s a B48 bus stop directly in front of the building. Otherwise, it’s a bit removed from public transit — I usually bike or drive in.
If this sounds like it might be a good fit, I’d love to hear from you!
I'm an artist working mostly in painting.
I would require one month security. Rent does not include split ultilities, which come to an extra 150 per month, for internet an electric/heating.
